A Consent & Release Agreement for Guest Collaborators should be used anytime you’re inviting a guest to be a part of your program, course, or virtual series.
Depending on the expectation, the guest might just be hosting a training or teaching a specific lesson … but in some cases, they might also be providing handouts or a special download for participants. This is one reason you want a consent and release agreement. The other reason is that you may be planning to feature their name, image, bio and/or content on your website, social media, inside your membership community, or on promotional materials.
Here’s why it’s important to get this agreement signed:
- It protects you from being sued if your guest collaborator were to come back and say you didn’t have permission to use their name, image, bio, handouts, teaching, etc.
- Your guest knows up front that they’re not being compensated for this, and how you will use it in the future.
- Or if you are compensating them, there is language in this template that covers that too.
This agreement is very easy to customize because there’s not a lot to it. Ready to get started? Let’s go!
